Do you deal with all mortgage lenders?
We are an Independent Mortgage Broker but unfortunately there are always going to be some lenders that do not use brokers. There are not many lenders in this category.
How does the mortgage process work?
Most mortgages are arranged on-line by us. Once we know your personal information and financial circumstances we will recommend the best mortgage deal for you. We will then complete the agreement in principle (lender credit check) and then submit the application if accepted.
Proof of income and supporting documentation is then sent to the mortgage lender.
The lender arranges the valuation of the property and once this is returned, the case is normally reviewed and the mortgage offer issued.
Impartial will follow the progress of the mortgage from submission to the lender through to completion.
How long will it take?
Every mortgage is different. However, a general guide would be, remortgage 4-5 weeks and a purchase/home mover 6 weeks to 3 months dependent on number of buyers in the chain.
We can sometimes arrange a mortgage in Bournemouth within 24 hours if it is urgent. As we are local the process is made easier.
Remember that your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
Wills & trusts, conveyancing services, and most forms of buy-to-let mortgages are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
